Located in the stunning Ribble Valley, this epic 10km route has been designed by Royal Marines Commandos! Rally The Troops…….it’s time for The Christie Crusaders to become Born Survivors!

Our Christie Crusader team is made up of Ellie, Tony, Richard, Marc, John, Sarah, Bren and David. Oh what a team, this is Finance at its finest!!! This event isn’t every man for themselves to finish but to work as a team and carry (probably literally for some of us) each other to cross the finish line.

Why on earth are we doing this!?..........We are taking on the ultimate challenge on September 17th to raise money for The Christie, in memory of our former Director of Finance, Joanne Fitzpatrick.

Joanne was a true inspiration to those who were privileged enough to know her, such a strong and resilient woman with the kindest of hearts will forever be missed by so many. Joanne dedicated 29 years of her life to working at the Christie, it was her wish to make it  to 30 years but sadly passed away in January after her battle with breast cancer.

The overall finance team target is to raise £1 for every day Joanne worked with us but let’s not stop there and see how far we can take
this.

This challenge will test us to our limits, both physically and mentally, but what is a challenge if it isn’t tough – we need to make sure we earn every penny of sponsorship raised and we’ve no doubt the photographs will be worth their weight in gold. When our legs are tired and tears are streaming down our muddy faces we will remember Joanne, and all other patients that have been affected by cancer that we are raising money for, and we will push on through and not stop until we reach that finish line!!

We are so proud to be a part of The Christie team. Born Survivor…..Bring. It. On.
