Story

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds for more than 44,000 cancer patients treated at The Christie every year. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Joanne Fitzpatrick work in the finance department at The Christie for 30 years, and was director of finance since 2013. She sadly passed away in January 2022 after a battle with cancer. The finance team at the Christie are aiming to raise over £10,889 (the number of days she was employed by the Christie) in memory of Joanne.

I am taking on The Christie challenge as part of the fundraising effort. My 6 challenges are:

1. Snowdon at night with colleagues (event organised by the Christie Charity) COMPLETE

2. Learn how to do a hand stand and hold it for 10 seconds

3. Trans Pennine trail bike ride (210 miles in 3 days) COMPLETE

4. Complete a 10 minute abdominal plank

5. Born survivor (10km run with obstacles) with colleagues COMPLETE

6. 5k Inflatable run with my family COMPLETE

Please support me in this challenge - if you want to support one in particular then please note this when you make you donation, if not I will just split this between the 6 challenges.
